Synopsis Poignant and beautiful letters written between Ethan and Susan Foster from Mokena, IL as Ethan sets of to fight in the Civil War. Susan is left behind to tend to the farm. 

David Rush has developed this play from the real life letters of Southern Illinois families who experienced the separation, heart-ache and loss during the Civil War.

David Rush is a produced playwright from Carbondale area. 

 

Director:

Kari Catton is the Executive Director for Theatre in the Park.  She has directed numerous shows at TIP including  So Black Patent Leather Shoes Really Reflect Up?, The Secret Garden, Heritage, Calamity Jane and Brigadoon. She has directed a few shows at STC as well.  Kari is a published playwright with Big Dog Plays/Norman Maine Publishing.

Synopsis Pam Brown and Kathryn Harris performed a reading of Ken Bradbury's "A Fabric of Friendship" on Sunday December 13, 2015. The one-act play looks at the friendship between Mary Todd Lincoln and Elizabeth Keckley, her seamstress and friend.
