To My Dear Wife by David Rush
A Civil War exchange of letters between husband, Ethan Foster, and wife, Susan Foster. Ethan has joined the Union Army and Susan is left behind to manage the farm and family. This story is based on real letters written by real people from Southern Illinois.
Auditions: Show requires a man and woman to play husband and wife. Age range, 25-55. Auditions are Wednesday and Thursday, January 25 & 26, 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. at Lincoln Land Community College in the
Sangamon South room 0015 (Just below the LLCC Police Department offices). Cold readings are fine!
Kari Catton is the Executive Director of Theatre in the Park. She has directed Do Black Patent Leather Shoes Really Reflect Up? in 2016, and Secret Garden in 2011. Kari has also directed past shows at TIP including Heritage, Brigadoon and Calamity Jane. Kari is a published playwright with Big Dog Plays.
The Fabric of Friendship by Ken Bradbury
Performed by Pam Brown as Mrs. Lincoln and Kathryn Harris as Mrs. Keckley, the lifelong friendship between one of the most influential women during the Civil War and her dressmaker.
